Friday, April 28, is the Feast Day of the heroic wife, mother and pediatric physician, Saint Gianna Molla. She is celebrated as a great patron of the unborn for, when she became pregnant with her fourth child, doctors found a tumor in her uterus. She chose to have the tumor removed rather than any treatment that would have resulted in her baby’s death. A week after her daughter was delivered by cesarean, however, Saint Gianna died from an infection.
On Wednesday, April 26 at 12:05 pm, Holy Rosary parish will celebrate Saint Gianna’s Hope, a Mass in her honor for those who have lost a child from early infant death, miscarriage or abortion. Donations of baby care products will be collected for Project Gabriel ministry to women in a crisis pregnancy.

Prayer of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla:
My most sweet Jesus, infinitely merciful God,
most tender Father of souls,
and in a particular way of the most weak,
most miserable, most infirm
which You carry with special tenderness
between Your divine arms,
I come to You to ask You, through the love
and merits of Your Sacred Heart,
the grace to comprehend and to do
always Your holy will,
the grace to confide in You,
the grace to rest securely through time and
eternity in Your loving divine arms.
