The three traditional practices of Lent come from Jesus’ admonitions in the Gospel for Ash Wednesday: “when you fast . . ., when you pray . . ., when you give alms . . .”
In order to enliven our acts of self-denial and charity, we ought to seek to grow closer to God in prayer as we prepare for Easter. Here are opportunities for communal prayer as Catholics at the various hospitals in the Medical Center:
